Hello everyone out there in Terra Madre blogland. I’m Gary, UniSG Masters student and ‘owner’ of the mouth2mouth blog over on the blogroll. I’m off on Monday 21st August to start my final stage project in Kenya with Samuel Muhunyu and Ugo Vallauri. We’ve got lots of stuff planned based around the subject of general communications and knowledge sharing for food communities, but we’ll be posting more of that as we go one, but we have one rather pressing requirement.

We need to raise USD3,000. Like, now…

Why? Well, we would like to establish an Internet Café in the town of Molo where Samuel is based. We need to raise the initial sum to buy the hardware and establish the satellite connection. After this, the project will be self-funding. We need to prime the pump.

A PayPal account has been set up specifically for this project. Over at mouth2mouth you will find a PayPal ‘Make a Donation’ button. Do something good. Go over there and press it. Now. Before I get all Bob Geldof on you.

Every penny you donate will go to fund this project and make a difference to a whole range of rural food communities. And I’ll be able to Skype my mother – which is nearly as important.
